Training

As a learning facilitator, I believe significant learning results in deep insight rather than an accumulation of information. Insights are the ahas! that come in those moments when we understand something in a profoundly new way or gain clarity about what’s possible. I am particularly interested in hosting experiences that promote personal and team/organizational learning.

I design and host two primary types of learning experiences. I offer learning experiences designed to build the collective capacity of groups to think, learn, and innovate together. A core competence related to this capacity is self-reflective consciousness – the ability to be more fully aware of the how we interpret, think about, and make sense of the world around us. This competence helps us be more effective together.

I also support groups in their ongoing process of adaptive action and learning. In this regard, learning is not an event but an ongoing process of making meaning, sensing into what wants to happen, and then discerning the wisest course of action. By staying in a continual process of inquiry-discernment-action-reflection-adaptation, groups are better able to morph with changing conditions.

Central to both types of learning are powerful questions and meaningful conversation, both of which open up possibilities and surface collective wisdom. Together we co-create the conditions for joyful, meaningful, relevant, and practical learning using active, constructivist learning approaches that honor multiple ways of learning and knowing.

Organizations that can’t learn, can’t change. Organizations that can learn, can transform themselves into new entities capable of greater heights of achievement.  – Robert Fritz
